Kate Griffin has landed at Rest as head of investment governance.

In this role, she will report to Jonathan Stewart, Rest's general manager, legal, risk & governance - Investments.

Griffin joins from the Australian Retirement Trust, where she served as divisional risk manager of investments.

She had held that position for one year, crossing over from Q Super, where she served in a similar role for nine years.

Before arriving at the Queensland super fund in 2013, Griffin worked as a product specialist- in real estate at Aviva Investors.

During her four years at the life office, she also worked in compliance.

Griffin started out as a legal and compliance officer at UBS in 2002.

Commenting on the appointment, Rest investment chief Andrew Lill said: "Rest is always looking to build the internal expertise within our Investments team to ensure we continually refine our decision making and investment processes, in line with our whole of fund approach.

I'm delighted that Kate has joined Rest to further deepen the experience and skill we've already assembled."
