Rest has appointed two new general managers to help with the fund's strategy of simplifying the superannuation experience for members.

Kareene Koh has been appointed to run strategy, while Florence La Carbona will look after data and insights.

Reporting to Rest chief strategy and corporate affairs officer Tyrone O'Neil, Koh will lead strategic planning and alignment across the fund.

Koh has over 20 years' experience across several industries, including banking, financial services, media and broadcasting and telecommunications.

She joins from the Nine Entertainment Group, where she worked on many strategic projects and at Domain Home Loans before that.

Earlier she spent three years as a partner at Deloitte Digital and held several strategic roles at National Australia Bank before that.

O'Neill said Rest is progressing well in delivering its strategy to simplify member experience so members are empowered to take action and achieve their best retirement outcomes.

"Kareene will play a key role in nurturing a culture of strategic innovation within Rest to build on this progress and achieve our ambitions. She is highly experienced in strategic roles across various organisations and industries, with a particular focus on digital solutions."

For her part, La Carbona is responsible for strengthening Rest's data management practices and enhancing foundational and advanced data capabilities within the fund.

She reports to chief technology and data officer Jeremy Hubbard.

La Carbona has more than 15 years in data-driven strategy and digital transformation at several financial services businesses.

She joins from Resolution Life, having previously worked in data, analytics and technology roles at Metlife, BT Financial Group, TAL and Westpac.

"Florence will be instrumental in advancing our strategy to simplify super and make it engaging for our members. She will ensure Rest is equipped to create even more intuitive, personalised and secure experiences for our members by leveraging data," Hubbard said.
