Rest has appointed former Cbus head of equities strategy Kiran Singh to its new internal investments team. Singh will become the head of listed assets.
Singh spent nearly six years with Cbus as head of equities, adding asset allocation and investment framework duties in 2018. Before joining the industry fund, Singh was a senior portfolio manager with Nomura Asset Management and Nuvest Capital in Singapore. He also spent time in portfolio management with VFMC and Invesco.
In his new role, Singh will look after Rest's equity and fixed income portfolios including internally-managed investments. He will also chair the fund's investment selection sub-committee and sit on the management investment committee.
Singh is joined by Sonia Bluzmanis, who has been appointed head of global equities.
Rest has been slowly building its in-house investments team since appointing Andrew Lill as chief investments officer last year.
