Rest has hired Amy Murrell as its new general manager of people and culture.
Murrell takes on some of the responsibilities of the retiring group executive for people, finance, and change, Trevor Evans. His role is being split into two, with the fund recruiting for its first chief financial officer.
In comments to Financial Standard, Rest chief Vicki Doyle said "Amy has demonstrated expertise as well as extensive experience in the superannuation and financial services industry. A senior leader of her calibre will further deepen the capability in this critical function."
Before joining Resolution Life, Murrell spent more than a decade with AMP in people and culture roles, most recently as head of people, services, and governance. She began her career in employment law with Herbert Smith Freehills.
