REST appoints new board member

REST Industry Super has confirmed to Industry Moves the appointment of Michael Tehan as an employee representative, effective 1 October 2017.

Tehan joins the $45 billion* industry fund board as a nominee of the Shop, Distributive and Allied Employees Association (SDA). He also serves as member of REST's audit, risk and compliance committee and trust deed review committee.

Tehan has over 40 years' experience in industrial relations, and is a current director of Villa Maria Catholic Homes, a not-for-profit provider of aged care, disability and community services, and special education. In 2014, he retired as a partner of the legal firm, Minter Ellison, after more than 25 years at the firm.

At REST he replaces long-serving director, Geoff Williams, who departed the fund on 30 September 2017.
