Rest appoints GM of super and retirement solutions

Industry fund Rest has appointed Mel Jose as general manager for super and retirement solutions.

Jose joins after a short stint with NGS Super as a senior manager for investment governance. She previously spent several years with AMP as a senior product portfolio manager and spent time in the organisation's corporate and employee super plans.

A spokesperson for Rest confirmed the appointment to Financial Standard. "Mel has more than 20 years' experience in the superannuation industry, including 16 years' experience in product management and strategy," Rest said. "She spent six years at AMP, where she led the re-establishment of the AMP Wealth Investment Product function, management of the Master Trust and Platform investment menus, as well as product management within the Corporate Super team."

Update: A spokesperson for Rest has clarified that incumbent GM for super and retirement solutions Anthony Zeitoun is still with the organisation and has been seconded into the organisation's employer and industry engagement group.
