REST has appointed Ronan Walsh as general manager investments, replacing Jo Townsend who took the role of CEO at Funds SA in April 2015.
Reporting to REST CEO Damian Hill, Walsh will take over the duties of Jamie Hwang, who has been filling in as acting general manager investments. In his new role, Walsh will be responsible for overseeing the investment governance functions and managing relationships with the $37b industry super fund's asset consultant, custodian and external investment managers.
Walsh is the former head of fixed income at VicSuper and has over 18 years of financial services and asset management experience. He has held various senior and management positions at Russell Investments, Citigroup and NAB.
