Responsible investment specialist joins U Ethical

Ethical investment manager U Ethical has appointed Désirée Lucchese as ethics and impact manager.

Lucchese was most recently an ESG consultant with MSCI. She has also held numerous directorships on boards addressing climate and ethics, like the UK Climate Disclosure Standards Board and Environmental Investment Organisation (EIO).

In her new role, Lucchese will look after the integration of ESG data into investment strategies and decision making. She says she's, "thrilled to be joining U Ethical and looks forward to working with U Ethical's investment team, key stakeholders and industry peers to advance active stewardship that creates shared value through tangible social and environmental outcomes."

Lucchese is joined at U Ethical by Rachel O'Connor, who is the new portfolio manager for fixed income and cash products. U Ethical chief investment officer James Cook welcomed both. "We're delighted to have both Desiree and Rachel joining us on our mission to invest with purpose. Both enjoy an enviable track record as outstanding performers in their field and will consolidate the investment team while significantly contributing to the ongoing development and evolution of the ethical investment function at U Ethical."
