Regnan appoints Vamos as new CEO

Australian ESG research and engagement provider, Regnan, has announced the appointment of Pauline Vamos as chief executive officer, effective 10 July 2017.

Vamos brings over 25 years' experience in the financial services industry to this role. She was most recently the CEO of the Association of Superannuation Funds of Australia (AFSA), a role that she stepped down from in June 2016 after eight and a half years. Prior to this, she was a director of financial services regulation - licensing and business operations at the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC).

Vamos is also a director of the Banking and Finance Oath (BFO) group, Decimal Software Limited and most recently, Mercer Superannuation.

In a statement from the firm, the board said they are delighted to welcome Vamos to the role.

"Pauline's distinguished career in financial services and her lifelong advocacy of best practice corporate governance makes her an outstanding choice to lead Regnan through its next phase of development and at this important time for the investment management industry."

Vamos added: "I am excited to join Regnan and to have the opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to wealth stewardship, through the promotion of thoughtful, long-term and holistic risk management and corporate governance best practices. I look forward to leading Regnan as we continue to advance the responsible investment agenda and be a sensible voice in representing the long term investor."

She replaced Amanda Wilson, who left in February 2017, following over six years in the role.
