Redpoint co-founder moves to Aware Super

Aware Super has appointed Ganesh Suntharam to the position of portfolio manager, where he will report to Aware Super portfolio manager - growth assets, Murray Keir.

Suntharam has over 20 years of experience managing quantitative portfolios and previously co-founded Redpoint Investment Management, where he was also chief investment officer and portfolio manager.

As portfolio manager within the Systematic Investment team at Aware, he will assist in the management of over $15 billion in domestic and international equities, in both growth and low risk products

Aware Super said he would be focusing on improving its existing investments and the development of new capabilities, applying his considerable experience to return and climate related goals.

"Our Growth Asset strategy includes building an internal capability to deliver market leading domestic and international equity strategies," Keir said.

"Having attracted someone of Ganesh's expertise and reputation in market will elevate our ability to execute on this strategy and generate the strongest possible risk-adjusted returns for our million-plus members."
