Raiz names group CEO

Raiz has promoted managing director George Lucas to group CEO, overseeing all of the organisations operations in Australia, Indonesia, and Malaysia.

"On behalf of the Raiz Board, I'm pleased to announce a management restructure that is designed to grow the Australian business and ensure the Company is well placed to capitalise on emerging opportunities in Southeast Asia," said Raiz Invest chair Tony Fay.

Fay says that Lucas will spend more time overseeing the Southeast Asian operations, ensuring execution of the company's growth strategy.

Group COO Brendan Malone will become the organisation's Australian CEO.

Lucas joined Raiz in 2015 as a director and managing director. He was the chief investment officer for Mariner Financial and held senior roles at First Chicago Bank and Citibank.
