Raiz adds former QIC exec to board

Micro-investing app Raiz Invest has added two non-executive directors to the board one of whom is a former QIC and Suncorp executive.

Raiz chair Kelly Humphreys has welcomed Robert Hines and Jon Brett citing the importance of broadening the board's skills and experience.

Hines has over 35 years' experience in banking, finance and funds management holding senior executive roles in finance, retail, and operations.

He has served as chief financial and operating officer at QIC,

Chief Financial Officer and Group Executive Retail at Bank of Queensland and finance chief at  Suncorp Group.

Hines currently sits on several listed and unlisted boards and brings extensive financial and operational skills to the company.

Brett is a former executive of Investec Australia and chief executive of Techway - the firm that pioneered internet banking in Australia.

He brings extensive strategic, governance and management experience to Raiz, particularly in finance and digital operations.
