Qualitas appoints Director of Marketing for retail expansion

Real estate investment manager, Qualitas, has appointed Kathleen Tepana as director of marketing and direct sales as part of the firm's plan to expand its offering to a retail investor base via ASX listed markets.

Tepana joins from Pinnacle Investment Management, where she was responsible for the development and implementation of marketing strategy for the firm's listed investment vehicles. Prior to that, she spent more than 20 years in senior marketing and distribution roles.

She is joined at Qualitas by fellow new-recruit, Belinda White, who has been appointed as director of external affairs.

Commenting on both appointments, Qualitas' group managing director, Andrew Schwartz, said: "Kathleen Tepana has an outstanding track record in marketing listed investment products, while Belinda White has deep experience in thought leadership and media relations for fund managers. We believe this is a powerful combination of expertise to build our distribution capability."

Tepana added: "I am very excited to join the Qualitas team as the firm embarks on its next phase of growth. Direct, SMSF investors and advisers will soon have a limited opportunity to access an alternative asset class that has traditionally been only available to institutional and wholesale investors."
