QSuper names new CEO

QSuper has announced the appointment of Michael Pennisi as its new chief executive, replacing Rosemary Vilgan who is leaving the fund in October after 27 years. Pennisi has held various senior roles at QSuper, and for the past five years has been responsible for driving the fund's strategy, including its product and services offering, as chief strategy officer.

Previously, he was the managing director of corporate strategy at QIC and held senior roles at QInvest Limited (including as interim CEO) where he drove a new strategy, advice model and implemented a suite of managed funds. He has also held roles at AMP and APRA's predecessor, the Insurance and Superannuation Commission.
