BMO Financial Group has appointed Ravi Sriskandarajah as managing director and head of BMO Global Asset Management (Asia Pacific).
Sriskandarajah will be responsible for management oversight, governance and leading the organisation's growth strategy across the Asia Pacific region. He will be based out of Hong Kong and will report to both Barry McInerney, Co-CEO, BMO Global Asset Management and Albert Yu, chief executive officer Asia, BMO Financial Group.
Sriskandarajah joined the organisation in 2013 to lead BMO Global Asset Management's expansion into Australia. He has more than 15 years of asset management experience in senior roles.
Commenting on the appointment, McInerney said: "Ravi is an expert in his field and has a strong financial services network in the Asia Pacific region. Under the guidance of his experienced leadership, BMO Global Asset Management will continue to grow and innovate in this region. I look forward to seeing his team build upon the success we have achieved to date in providing world-class investment capabilities and global expertise."
McInerney confirmed that, with Sriskandarajah taking on the new role, BMO Global Asset Management will be actively recruiting for a person to lead its institutional sales business in Australia. The successful candidate will team with Michael Angwin, director, intermediary sales, BMO Global Asset Management. Both will report to Sriskandarajah.
