Praemium names new Independent Director

Listed platform provider, Praemium, has announced the appointment of Claire Willette as an independent board director, effective 28 August 2017.

Willette has experience as a senior management executive in the United States Department of Defense, the Australian Department of Defence and in the private sector. Her career has spanned national security, emerging technologies and critical infrastructure sectors, with a focus on developing governance frameworks, planning, risk management and performance/program management.

She is an associate, and sat on the board, of the Australian Risk Policy Institute and is a senior expert advisor to the International Standards Committee in the areas of risk, resilience and business continuity.

Commenting on her appointment, Praemium chair, Barry Lewin, said: "We are delighted to welcome Claire to the Praemium Board. With Praemium's significant growth prospects and market opportunity, we look forward to Claire making a valuable contribution at Praemium."

Willette will present herself for re-election at Praemium's next AGM. She is the fourth independent director to join the firm's board.
