Praemium hires La Trobe BDM

Peter Smirnios has joined Praemium's distribution team as senior business development manager for Victoria and Tasmania.

Smirnios brings over 20 years' experience with roles at La Trobe Financial and Colonial First State.

All up, he spent around four years at La Trobe and almost 11 years at Colonial First State in business development roles.

Earlier in his career, he worked at Shadforth Financial Group as a financial planner.

Commenting on the appointment, Premium head of sales Samantha Hawkins said she was "delighted" to have Smirnios join her team.

"He will help further grow our presence in the important Victorian and Tasmanian markets," she said.

"His broad expertise across advice, platforms and financial services will be a great addition to our already strong and experienced team."
