Funds SA has announced the departure of Clive Boyce, portfolio manager for growth alternatives, effective 5 October 2018.

In a statement, Funds SA said that Boyce will be "taking a break before considering opportunities for him to remain engaged with the Australian investment management industry."

Boyce was responsible for the management of Funds SA's growth orientated alternatives portfolio, which includes private equity, infrastructure, and opportunistic property. He was appointed to the role in 2005 and previously served as Funds SA's senior financial officer from 1987-1996.

Commenting on his departure, Funds SA chief executive officer, Jo Townsend, said: "Clive has been a key contributor at Funds SA, part of the fabric of the organisation over a long period of time. We thank him, and wish him all the very best in his future endeavours".

Funds SA, which currently invests over $30 billion on behalf of South Australia's public sector super funds, said that it is "currently expanding its investment team to enhance capabilities, evolving organisational strategy and managing growing funds under management."
