Platinum appoints new director

Platinum Asset Management has added Phillip Moffitt to the board as an independent director.

Moffit brings extensive asset management experience to the board. He co-founded Beacon Capital an investment management firm that delivers capital to economically sustainable impact enterprises.

Currently, he sits on the board of Aware Super, chairing the industry fund's investment committee.

Earlier on, Moffitt was a partner at Goldman Sachs Asset Management for 20 years as well as chairman of Goldman Sachs Australia Managed Fund board.

He has also held senior roles at Bankers trust and Tokai Asia,
