Platinum Portfolio Manager departs

Platinum Asset Management has confirmed the departure of long-standing portfolio manager, Simon Trevett, effective February 2017.

Following a previous announcement regarding the co-management of the Platinum International Brands Fund, by both Simon Trevett and Jamie Halse, the firm has said that Trevett has elected to step down from the role with sole portfolio responsibilities now falling to Halse, who has been with the firm for six years.

In a statement released by the firm it was said that Trevett would step back from the industry to consider his future plans.

A spokesperson said: "We thank Simon for his many years of valuable service to Platinum."
