Platinum Asset Management's deputy chief investment officer and portfolio manager of the Platinum Japan Fund, Jacob Mitchell, is to step down on December 31. Scott Gilchrist, Platinum's sector leader for resources and industrial services, will take over management of the Japan Fund in 2015, as one of several portfolio management changes announced by Platinum as a result of Mitchell's resignation.
