Date: July 2021
Position: Chief Executive Officer, General Insurance (Australia & New Zealand)

Tim Plant will leave Zurich, where he has been chief executive for the organisation's general insurance operations in Australia and New Zealand, for the last three years.

In response, Zurich has announced a leadership reorganisation, giving the responsibilities to Justin Delaney, who is currently CEO of life and investments.

"I am pleased that we have strong leaders in place on-the-ground to ensure a smooth succession for the business and team, and would also like to take this opportunity to wish Tim all the very best for the future," said APAC regional CEO Tulsi Naidu.

Plant joined Zurich as CEO in 2018. He was previously the group executive for icare NSW and spent several years with QBE Insurance in a variety of roles including chief executive for Australia and New Zealand. He's also held roles with Elders and Swiss Re.

Sean Walker, who is the chief underwriting officer for Zurich's general insurance operations, will contribute to the leadership of the organisation, supporting Delaney.
