Rob Mead, managing director at PIMCO and co-head of Asia-Pacific portfolio management, will head the company's Australian office following the promotion of Adrian Stewart to head of client management for APAC ex-Japan.
Mead has been with PIMCO since 2003. Before joining the organisation, he was an MD for Citigroup Asset Management in New York and London, and has been a VP with JPM Asset Management.
In a statement, the company says that Mead will be actively involved in key client and industry engagement, working closely with Stewart and the client management teams in Australia.
