Pendal appoints Head of Investment Services from LeapFrog

Pendal Group has confirmed to Industry Moves the appointment of Justin Howell as head of investment services and program office, effective 23 April 2018.

Reporting to Richard Brandweiner, CEO Australia, Howell will be responsible for the firm's technology, business strategy, strategic projects, operations, product and outsourced relationships functions.

He has over 18 years' experience in the finance industry, including senior appointments across client service, product, business strategy, operations and project management.

Prior to joining Pendal, Howell worked with Brandweiner at LeapFrog Investments, as a director of public equities, and the pair also worked together at First State Super, where Howell held leadership positions within strategy, operations and strategic projects between 2013 and 2017.

Howell has also previously spent 10 years in various roles with Perpetual Investments.
