Christophe Brulliard
CHRISTOPHE BRULLIARD
Pathzero - Chief Sustainability Officer
APPOINTMENT
PATHZERO
Date: 4 November 2022
Position: Chief Sustainability Officer
By Elizabeth Fry

Emissions management firm Pathzero has hired a natural capital expert as its sustainability chief.

Christophe Brulliard joins from Point Advisory, where he was a principal consultant.

This firm was recently acquired and now forms part of the UK ERM group.

In this role, he became one of the first consultants with specialist expertise in the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures, net-zero emissions planning, climate change adaptation planning, and general carbon accounting.

Since then, he has worked as associate director at Net Balance, a boutique sustainability consultancy that was recently acquired by EY, and a principal economist at the Melbourne-owned URS.

Before switching to a career in climate and natural resources, Brulliard managed risk exposure at Credit Lyonnais for four years and was an auditor at Deloitte for six years before that.

Commenting on his move Brulliard said the new job meant he could operate in a dynamic environment and stay close to the topic he is working to address - climate change.

"And we operate in a dynamic environment where I can really shape what is happening and be agile," he said.

"Pathzero is creating the infrastructure required to respond to these emerging needs in the finance sector - a carbon information network that works at scale," he said.

The appointment follows the launch of Pathzero's latest data-driven tool that lets private market investors measure, reduce, offset and report their financed emissions.

"Impact is what really drives me, and we need technology to scale this up. So, I want to help make Pathzero a success -  because it is necessary," he added.

"Pathzero will be game-changing for accelerating the financial sector's transition to net zero. I am excited to build the momentum of this transition with the team."
