Paradice Investment Management has added a new ESG analyst to its investment team.

The boutique fund manager has hired Maddy Dwyer who joins from Pendal.

During her time at Pendal, she helped prepare the group's UK business for the EU Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation (SFDR).

Dwyer started her ESG career at Regnan in 2015 governance research and engagement before moving to Pendal after the fund manager absorbed the ESG research and advisory firm in early 2019.

There, she was promoted to the role of responsible investments manager.

Commenting on the hire, Paradice's head of ESG Nick Varcoe acknowledged Dwyer's skills and experience.

"Her appointment further strengthens our focus on the integration of ESG factors in investment decision-making and stewardship," he said.

"ESG is something that we are passionate about," he added, noting the considerable work done by the firm on modern slavery and climate change issues.

Paradice recently joined several Climate Action 100+ investor working groups, Investors Against Slavery and Trafficking (IAST) and the Responsible Investment Association of Australasia (RIAA) and is a member of Tobacco Free Portfolios.

On joining Paradice, Dwyer said she looked forward to contributing to the progression of Paradice's ESG and responsible investment practices.
