Oliver Wyman has appointed Lyn Cobley as a senior advisor working with the risk specialist's wholesale and institutional clients.

Her breadth of expertise includes strategy and leadership, people and culture, transformation and technology, finance and risk, crisis management, investor and regulatory relations, and navigating complexity in high-profile and regulated industries.

Previously, Cobley was group treasurer of Commonwealth Bank becoming executive manager of retail banking products and third-party banking.

Earlier, she worked at Barclays for three years and at Citibank for seven.

"Lyn's talent and deep banking and financial services experience complement Oliver Wyman's expertise and capabilities in financial services," said Oliver Wyman's Asia-Pacific managing partner Jacob Hook,

"She brings over 30 years of experience in senior positions at some of the world's top banks, enhancing our ability to support clients who are facing opportunities and challenges when it comes to sustainability in an advisory capacity," he said.

Cobley said she wanted to make a difference in the next stage of her career, particularly when it comes to sustainability and climate action.

"This is why I took this opportunity to work with Oliver Wyman as they play a global role in the climate agenda as seen in their recent work with Glasgow Financial Alliance for Net Zero and the Task Force on Climate-Related Financial Disclosure among others," she said.

"Oliver Wyman is one of those participants in the market that helps organisations articulate the how with practical know-how."

This appointment follows the consultant's recent acquisition of Azure Consulting and the launch of its communications, media, and technology practice in the country.
