He also spent five years at the New Zealand Super Fund as an investment manager, analysis.

Earlier, he did a four-year stint at BT Funds Management as a portfolio manager.

"Anthony Halls is a highly experienced and well-regarded investment professional, and we're really delighted that we've been able to attract someone of his calibre," said Annuitas chief executive Tim Mitchell.

The chief executive has also hired Holly Marshall as a senior responsible investment strategist.

Marshall arrived from Kiwi Wealth Wealth where she was a ESG strategist.
