Northern Trust builds up quant team

Northern Trust Asset Management is building a new team of quants based in Australia and Hong Kong.

The team will be led by Scott Bennett, who has been appointed head of quantitative investment solutions for Asia Pacific.

Bennett joined Northern Trust AM three years ago to take up the newly created role of head of quantitative research for Australia and New Zealand.

Before joining the asset manager, he spent 14 years at Russell Investments most recently as director of equity strategy and research.
