Northern Trust appoints Senior Sales Rep, FX

Northern Trust has announced the appointment of Kia Oboudiyat as the senior sales representative for foreign exchange in the firm's recently established Sydney office.

In this role, he will be responsible for providing client services support and exploring sales opportunities across the Asia-Pacific region. His appointment comes alongside the establishment of Northern Trust's Sydney based securities lending trading desk.

Oboudiyat joins from Northern Trust's Chicago office, where he was responsible for client delivery solutions within the North America investment operations outsourcing implementations team.

Commenting on the expansion of Northern Trust's Australian team, Asia-Pacific head of capital markets, Dane Fannin said: "We are delighted to establish a capital markets presence in Australia."
