Nissen to return to Citi Australia

Ian Nissen is returning to Citi Australia after several years in Singapore as managing director and APAC head of futures, clearing, and collateral.

In his new role, Nissen will focus on increasing the bank's product capabilities across its platforms including cash and FCX. He will also assist the bank's expansion of its custody business.

Nissen has been with Citi for the last decade, first joining in 2011 as head of futures. He became the managing director in Singapore in 2018. Before his time with Citi, Nissen was the head of clearing sales for J.P. Morgan Chase in Sydney and held senior sales roles with HSBC and Credit Suisse.

Following its acquisition of Royal Bank of Canada's custody business last year, Citi is the third-largest custodian in the Australian market.
