Nikko AM names Head of Product and Strategy

Nikko Asset Management Australia has announced the appointment of Hendrie Koster to the newly-created role of head of product and strategy, effective mid-May 2017.

In this role, Koster will be responsible for driving the firm's product agenda and will report to managing director, Sam Hallinan.

Koster joins from Mercer, where he was most recently the director of strategic research, Pacific region for the firm's investment business. He joined Mercer's Sydney office after transferring from the London office in 2010.

Prior to joining Mercer, Koster gained experience working as an investment consultant in Johannesburg and London for Alexander Forbes, Sanlam, and Lane Clark & Peacock.

Commenting on his appointment, Hallinan said: "I am personally pleased that someone of Hendrie's talent and experience in working directly with clients has made the decision to join us. We want the best talent available in our team to continue on our path of reinvention and improvement."
