New role for former Russell alternative investments head

Frank Russo has been appointed executive director and head of portfolio solutions at boutique financial services firm, The SILC Group. In the new role, Russo provides portfolio construction, funds management and investment advisory services to the firm's institutional and high net worth clients.

Russo previously spent more than four years at Russell Investments, most recently as director of alternative investments. Before that his roles included senior analyst at Access Capital Advisers, senior portfolio manager at Equipsuper and senior research analyst at Westpac.

Commenting on the appointment, managing director of The SILC Group, Koby Jones, said: "We are very pleased at being able to attract the calibre of industry participants such as Frank. His deep knowledge, expertise and experience across the funds management sector, and specifically in alternative assets, will support and enhance the pipeline of products we are bringing to market for our wholesale clients."
