Equip has announced that Geoff Brooks has been appointed as head of marketing and advocacy, effective February 2018.

In this role, Brooks will be responsible for brand development, insights and analytics, and the on-going rollout of the fund's 'Segment of One' personalised marketing communications strategy.

Brooks, who first joined the $14 billion fund in 2003 as manager, communications, was most recently, executive officer, strategic marketing and communications, a role he was appointed to in August 2012.

Commenting on his new role, Brooks said to Industry Moves: "Having spent much of the past 18 months focused on the selection and implementation of our digital platforms, I am looking forward to returning to being more outward looking. My new role enables me to focus on evolving our brand narrative and ensuring that our communications with members, employers and other external stakeholders are more personal and capitalise on our much greater technical capacity to deliver timely and relevant information."

The fund has also announced the appointment of Tania Cumming as executive officer, strategy and markets and that former product manager, Craig Plain, has been promoted to head of product.

Brooks will act as executive officer, strategy and markets until Cumming's appointment in April.
