New Head of Investments APAC named for Vanguard Australia

Vanguard Investments Australia has announced the appointment of Daniel Reyes as head of investments APAC. Reyes replaces Rodney Comegys who has been appointed to a senior role with the firm's investment management group, based in the US.

Reyes will also take on the dual role of leading the investment strategy group (ISG) for the region, replacing Jeffrey Johnson who has been appointed as the firm's head of fixed income.

Reyes is currently head of advised portfolio solutions with Vanguard's US-based investment strategy group and will relocate to Australia for the new roles. The firm expects the transition to be completed by October 2017.

Reyes joined Vanguard in 2004 and has held roles with Vanguard institutional advisory services, the fixed income portfolio management group and the firm's retail division. Previously he was a consultant with Towers Perrin (now Willis Towers Watson).

He will be based in Vanguard's Melbourne office.
