Vanguard Investments Australia has announced the appointment of Jeffrey Johnson as the firm's new head of fixed income, effective June 2017.
In this role, based in Melbourne, Johnson will lead the team responsible for over $28 billion in bond and cash portfolios.
He replaces current head of fixed income, Stephen Howard, who the firm said is leaving to "pursue other opportunities".
Johnson is currently Vanguard's head of investment strategy group APAC and is to be succeeded in this role by Daniel Reyes who is relocating from Vanguard's US headquarters.
Johnson joined Vanguard in 2000 as a senior investment analyst in the firm's portfolio review department.
