New GM Distribution for IOOF

IOOF has announced the appointment of Mark Oliver to the role of general manager - distribution, following its creation of a new wealth management division.

Oliver joins IOOF from BlackRock where he was managing director of the firm's iShares exchange-traded funds (ETF) business in Australia. A veteran of the wealth management industry, Oliver has also held senior roles at Credit Suisse and Barclays Global Investors.

Commenting on the appointment, Renato Mota, who has been promoted to the role of group general manager wealth management, said: "Mark's experience in the wealth management advisory market working with clients to develop differentiated solutions - driven through client insights, complements IOOF's existing strengths and our open architecture model, and we are very excited to have Mark join our senior management team".

Oliver will commence with IOOF on the 29th of February and will be based in IOOF's Sydney office.
