New Director for VFMC

Victorian Funds Management Corporation (VFMC) has announced the appointment of Lisa Gay to its board.

Gay has extensive financial services experience in funds management, investment banking, and broking. She holds a number of non executive director roles in the private, public and not for profit sectors and is currently chair of the Australian Securities and Investment Commission's Markets Disciplinary Panel, a non-executive director at Koda Capital, and a member of the Council of Trustees of the National Gallery of Victoria. She was formerly general counsel and managing director of the Goldman Sachs Group Australia, as well as its predecessor JB Were & Son.

Gay, and fellow new board appointee, Paula Benson, replace Ray King and Chris Pearce who completed their three year tenure in January 2016.

Commenting on the appointments, VFMC chair James MacKenzie said: "The new directors deepen the strength of VFMC's Board in financial services and funds management and VFMC welcomes the additional skills and insights Ms Benson and Ms Gay will bring in the area of corporate and social responsibility."
