New director for AMP

AMP Limited has appointed Michael Sammells to their board, replacing the retiring Mike Wilkins.

Sammells has more than 35 years of professional experience in senior management, including as CFO of companies including Medibank and Healthscope.

AMP chair David Murray said, "We have secured a very capable board member in Michael Sammells. He has served in senior, complex financial and operational executive roles throughout his career and will bring valuable perspectives to the Board."

Sammells will join the AMP Limited board on 1 March. He will be a member of the Risk, Audit, and Remuneration committees.
