New Deputy President named for ACSI

The Australian Council of Superannuation Investors (ACSI) has announced that Antony Thow, chief operating officer at LUCRF, has been appointed as deputy president, effective August 2017.

He replaces Trish Donohue of Cbus, whose terms expires in August.

Thow joined the ACSI board on 16 August 2013. Prior to this, he was a member of ACSI's Committee of Management (COM) from February 2009 until it underwent a governance restructure to become a board and member council.

ACSI has also announced that AustralianSuper CEO, Ian Silk, will replace Media Super's Gerard Noonan as president, effective August 2017.

Commenting on the changes, ACSI CEO, Louise Davidson, said: "We are delighted to have Ian and Antony take on these key roles for ACSI. Both of them have demonstrated a strong commitment to the work we do in seeking to improve the environmental, social and governance performance of listed companies."

Noonan added: "I'm sure Ian and Antony's demonstrated enthusiasm and commitment to ESG issues will see ACSI's agenda advanced over the years ahead."
