New dealer group appoints Sydney Uni CIO to investment committee

University of Sydney chief investments officer Miles Collins has joined recently-founded Walker Lane as chair of the organisation's investment committee.

Walker Lane is a Sydney-based boutique financial advisory and investment management firm that targets investors with a focus on wealth preservation.

Before joining Sydney Uni, Collins spent eight years as head of investment for Myer Family Company, at the time the nation's largest multi-family office. Before relocating to Sydney to work with global research house Standard & Poors, Collins spent time as a discretionary investment manager with an Edinburgh-based legal firm.

Collins' appointment will be effective from January 2021. "Miles brings a wealth of investment experience to Walker Lane and his appointment completes a core component of the Walker Lane Value Proposition," said director Joshua Cratchley. "Miles' expertise and proven track record in the investment space provides Walker Lane with a capability to help the business achieve its growth aspirations, and our advisers look forward to working with him."
