The $1.9 trillion Natixis Investment Managers has hired Edward Tighe to run institutional sales reporting to Louise Watson, who heads up the firm's Australian and New Zealand businesses.

In his role, Tighe will manage institutional sales activities for Natixis IM and affiliates in Australia and New Zealand.Tighe developing business opportunities and strategies for clients across multiple asset classes.

He will be working alongside Danny King, the other sales director who is based in Melbourne.

He joins Natixis from First Sentier Investors (formerly Colonial First State Global Asset Management) where he ran the fund's institutional business. During his nine years at Colonial, Tighe worked as a fund accountant and a client reporting manager.

Tighe replaces Chris Spinos, who departed the firm in June to work with LGT Capital Partners.

"I look forward to bringing my experience working with various institutional clients from superannuation funds to foundations and family offices," Tighe said.

"Natixis' exposure to multiple asset classes along with strong ESG credentials is what first drew me to the role.

Commenting on the appointment, Watson said Tighe's extensive knowledge of institutional strategies and deep industry relationships will be an excellent resource to Natixis IM, affiliates, and clients.
