Natixis Investment Managers has promoted two top executives as it moves to strengthen its local business by enhancing its distribution platform.
The promotions come as Natixis incorporates the Investors Mutual sales and marketing team to form a multi-channel platform across institutional, wholesale and retail channels.
Jason Guthrie will lead the team responsible for wholesale and retail channels.
Guthrie has worked for Investors Mutual as head of distribution for the last four years.
He joined from AMP Capital where he was state manager.
Meanwhile, Danny King will head up institutional sales after serving as director of institutional sales at Natixis IM for the past two years.
King arrived at Natixis IM from Towers Watson where he worked as an investment consultant.
Guthrie and King will report to Louise Watson, Country Head for Australia and New Zealand.
Louise Watson said Natixis IM is excited to welcome a great team of individuals from Investors Mutual.
"We want to combine our expertise in the region...our focus on delivering sustainable solutions from a number of our affiliates has resonated strongly with investors as they align their investment choices with their beliefs.".
"We also want to offer active investment solutions that are aligned to our clients' needs which, in turn, provide their clients with meaningful investment and retirement solutions."
Watson said the distribution platform provides Investors Mutual and international affiliates with a more coordinated way to approach the changing investment landscape.
Fabrice Chemouny, head of Asia Pacific, Natixis IM said the move underscores the firm's commitment to Australia.
"While Natixis IM already has a good foundation in the Australian marketplace, focused on putting the client first we want to invest further in the right structures to ensure we can deliver on our commitment to investors over the long term."
