Mine Super deputy CEO Vasyl Nair has been named acting group chief executive officer following the departure of group CEO Harry Mitchell.
Nair will hold the role until mid-2022 while the fund searches for a permanent replacement.
A lawyer by training, Nair joined Mine Super in 2016 as chief strategy officer. He was named chief risk officer in 2017 and became the deputy CEO in mid-2020. Nair held senior management roles with CBA and Westpac following time as a corporate lawyer with Piper Alderman.
Outside of his executive experience, Nair has been the chair of Recreo since mid-2020, a superannuation admin company Mine is invested in.
