Morningstar hires

Morningstar has appointed Mark Fenech as an investment specialist reporting to head of wealth solutions James Louw.

In this role, Fenech will support advisers across New South Wales through a partnership approach with Morningstar's range of multi-asset investment solutions.

He joins from boutique firm Lakehouse Capital where he was a senior business development manager .

There, he managed key relationships in the wholesale channel and research houses for fund ratings.

Before that, he was the founder and a director of Profectus Financial Group - a boutique wealth advisory firm providing holistic financial services where he focussed on portfolio management of client assets in the retail and wholesale channels.

Earlier, he held roles with Challenger and Perpetual.

"Mark is bringing in his rich experience in the financial industry as well as extensive connections to Morningstar, where he will be working closely with peers across the company," said Louw.

"His sound background and skill set rooted in strategic client relationships will be an integral part of our team."

Fenech added that he is "thrilled" at the opportunity of working with such an  entrusted and long-standing brand.
