Montgomery appoints Senior Research Analyst

Montgomery Investment Management, a Sydney-based specialist boutique equity manager, has announced the appointment of Joseph Kim as a senior research analyst.

Kim has 12 years' combined experience as an analyst, and senior investment analyst, at Colonial First State Global Asset Management, Ellerston Capital and J.P. Morgan.

At Montgomery, he will join a team of six senior investment professionals, including managing director, David Buckland and chief investment officer, Roger Montgomery.

The firm has also announced four new appointees to its global business. Joining Montgomery Global are: head of institutional sales, Matthew Briggs, head of global business development, Craig Morton, and research analyst, Lachlan Mackay - who will all be based in the firm's Sydney office - and senior research analyst, Amit Nath - who will be based in the firm's newly-opened New York office.

Their appointments bring the Montgomery Global team to nine, five in Sydney and four in New York.
