MLC Life adds operations lead

MLC Life Insurance has welcomed former AMP transformation guru Craig Dainton to its operations team.

In his new role, Dainton will manage operations that service partners, advisers and customers.

Specifically, he will oversee operations for customer servicing, customer contact, legacy and adviser service and operational effectiveness delivery.

Danton has extensive experience in financial services, having worked for National Mutual, AXA, and AMP.

He spent nearly 12 years at AMP holding several senior roles in operations, finance, remediation and transformation at AMP.

He also served as deputy finance chief for two years.

MLC Life chief operating and people officer Jane Murray called Dainton a seasoned operational professional who has led large operations and change teams and has an outstanding track record for delivery.

"Aligned with his strong reputation as a values-based leader, Craig is passionate about developing great leaders with a 'customer-first' mindset," she added, "and I'm confident Craig will make a great contribution leading this crucial part of our business, as we continue to focus on enhancing the total customer experience for our partners, customers, and advisers."

Murray said the appointment connects the insurer's industry-leading technology with its commitment to put the customer at the centre of its business.
