The life insurer has appointed Mirella Robinson to the newly created role of chief technology officer and member of the executive team.
Robinson is a senior technology executive with over 20 years of experience spanning various industries, including financial services, telecommunications, media and retail energy.
She most recently served as information and technology chief technology chief at Cbus Super.
There she was credited with evolving the superannuation fund's technology strategy to leverage machine learning and AI practices, on top of successfully delivering two fund mergers and complex system integrations.
Before Cbus Super, Robinson was general manager of delivery, data analytics and technology at Latitude Financial Services.
She has also held senior roles at ANZ, Origin Energy and Sensis.
MLC Life Insurance chief executive Kent Griffin said she had a proven track record of delivering customer experience by building strong teams and driving innovation, agility, and performance in diverse and complex environments.
