MLC Life appoints CFO

Lesley Mamelok has been promoted to finance chief of MLC Life Insurance next month and will join the insurance leadership team.

She replaces Kent Griffin who will move to the top job in October.

Mamelok joined the life insurer last April as deputy chief financial officer and general manager of finance.

She arrived from Integrity Life, where most recently she served as acting chief executive.

Mamelok spent more than three years with the insurance company joining as finance chief in 2017.

Before working at Integrity Life, she spent more than a decade with AMP in senior roles including CFO of AMP Bank and CFO of Advice and Banking.

The new CFO has extensive experience as a senior executive across the financial services industry in Australia and the UK, including life insurance and general insurance, retail banking, wealth management and ASX listed entities.

She is also a former director at PwC.

MLC Life Insurance chief executive Rodney Cook said he was delighted that Mamelok will join the leadership team as CFO.

"She has extensive finance and life insurance experience, as both a CFO and CEO, and brings her commercial leadership to the insurance leadership team."
