MLC appoints ex-CLSA Analyst

MLC has appointed John Woods as a portfolio manager in the firm's Capital Markets Research team.

Woods joins MLC from CLSA, where he was a micro-strategy analyst responsible for equity strategy in Australia. Prior to this, he was part of the Asia equity strategy team at Macquarie Securities in Hong Kong.

Commenting on the appointment, MLC chief investment officer Jonathan Armitage said: "We're extremely pleased to welcome John Woods to the Capital Markets Research team, [which is] responsible for managing our industry-leading MLC Inflation Plus and MLC Horizon portfolios. He will play key roles in the evolution of strategies, the implementation and development of our Investment Futures Framework process, as well as be involved in the management of multi-asset portfolios.''

Woods will commence in the new role on 20 June 2016.
